“Thank you so very much for all the times you were there and I was not.  It is such a comfort to know that my mom was in such kind and loving care in her final days on earth.  You are truly very special people.  I will recommend your organization to other family members and friends.”

“I have recommended Crossroads Hospice many times and will never hesitate to do so in the future.  I tell everyone how wonderful you are and that I could not have done it without you.”

“Thank you all for helping me care for my Dad. I could not have done it alone and because of your help, I was able to keep him at home where he wanted to be. Thanks to all of you for your part, on his behalf and mine.”

“Our time with Crossroads Hospice was better than we could have even expected.  All of your staff was been thoughtful and courteous.  You made an unbearable situation bearable.”

“Crossroads Hospice helped my family so much.  They eased the pain for my brother and I.  I would go out and shout it to the world, “Crossroads Hospice is the BEST!”

“I have expressed to everyone: Sterling House administration, pastors, and friends with loved ones who will need hospice that Crossroads offered the best service. Having had other hospice organizations prior to Crossroads, I felt I truly had something to compare. Crossroads was kind and compassionate to my mother and to me. Greatly appreciate the kindness and professionalism.”

“Your care for my mother is not judged by a 1-10 score. My dealings by telephone with members of your team, nurse, aide, chaplain and volunteers were helpful, caring and loving and helped my brother and me, as we could not be there in person. Thank you all very much.”

“We really were amazed by the wonderful care the hospice team gave our father.  The coordination with the staff at Towne Center, Main Street Care was excellent.  Thank you so much for the care and preparation you all gave to our dad and family.

“I’ve had many people, including aunts and uncles who passed away with cancer, and, in most cases, other hospice teams and companies could not hold a candle to Crossroads.

Evenmore Care

“Thank you so much! I wish I had known about you sooner. I can’t say enough good about your staff, especially the aides that were with me. It was a comfort knowing I was never alone and that if I left the room someone was with my mother at all times. A special thanks to Kayla. You were wonderful and you are a very special person!”

“Our family wanted to express deep and heartfelt appreciation for all of the extraordinary care Arthur Bradley received from Crossroads.  Each person we came in contact with exceeded our expectations in so many special ways.  Everyone showed so much compassion; from the receptionist’s responsiveness and kindness answering the phone to the nurturing nurses, nurse aides, case manager, and social workers to the chaplain. I cannot think of anyone, or any other organization, I would have felt more comfortable with in entrusting my dad’s care and enabling him to enjoy his final days surrounded by his family.  I apologize for all I have left unnamed, as you were just as instrumental in the awesome care my dad received.  Finally, with so many awful events that can occur in life the contrasting experience with Crossroads has been like a refreshing spring that renews my spirit upon every reflection.  Thank you for the gift and legacy of kindness that continues to live on in my heart.”

“I am writing to thank you for the care you gave my mom, Stella Oldfield of The Landing of Canton, during her final days.  I don’t know that I can truly thank you enough.  Mom’s cancer hit us so fast and then you came.  Even though we knew mom’s cancer was terminal, your staff made it so much easier for us.  They explained every phase in detail and told us what to expect.  You have a superb and knowledgeable staff.  Thanks to all of you who came in shifts to take care of mom.  We loved all of you. Every family going through this should contact you.  You make the patient comfortable and the family at peace.”

“On behalf of Marie’s family, I would like to express a sincere thank you to all of you.  Your organization has the most compassionate and caring people.  You also kept me well informed of her condition.  When she took a turn for the worse, you came in and made her so comfortable and peaceful.  I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone was to Marie and myself. Unfortunately, I have had experience with other hospice organizations and by far, your organization is number one!! Thank you again for all your prayers and compassion.”

“Words cannot begin to express our sincere and deepest gratitude for your care of mom. Our first meeting, the materials and attention given to her were incomparable.  When it was evident that mom was slipping quickly, your constant care with the nurses and chaplain was far beyond what we could have expected or hoped for.  Your staff was right there walking us through the last hours, helping us know what to expect.  The last few minutes of mom’s life were bittersweet and ones we shall never forget.  Again, the staff was gave us private time, treated mom with complete dignity that honored her and our family. I mentioned that day and night that we could not have walked through this without your compassionate and professional team.  Right to the last minute, you were informing us of the medications she was being given and handled her so tenderly.  We have expressed to many people that you are all “angels in disguise”.  Theologically, I know that is not likely, but no one could be any closer to angels in these difficult times than Crossroads Hospice.”

“Your organization is made up of such caring, compassionate professionals.  I can’t say enough about the wonderful, attentive care we both received. The visits have meant so much at this juncture in our lives.  May God bless each and every one of you.”

“Just a note to let you know how much Phil and I appreciated the “Gift of a Day” you arranged for my mom Janet Ratcliff.  We were thrilled that she had the opportunity to return to a place she enjoyed, taste the foods (and beverages!) she loves and could check out the MEN in the restaurant too!  Thank you so much for lunch and for all you do.”

“I wanted to let you know how much our family appreciated the professional and compassionate care extended to our mom by Debbie Marshall as part of mom’s ultimate gift.  Debbie helped our mom get ready for her grandson’s wedding and she rode with her and stayed with her throughout the evening.  We appreciate her sacrificing a Saturday afternoon and evening to make it possible for mom to attend the wedding – and for our stress to be alleviated knowing she was in such good hands.  Debbie’s support made it possible for us to get ready ourselves and be able to enjoy the festivities without having to worry about oxygen tanks and getting mom in and out of a car, etc. when we were all dressed up.  It was a special day and we are so grateful for the compassionate support you provide as we cherish these days with our mom.”

“Thank you for being extraordinarily nice people for arranging my mom and dad’s 60th wedding anniversary celebration. It was a great honor you bestowed on them.  It meant so much to all of the family, but especially to my mother.  You let her know that she is an exceptional person and mother.  She has always given more than she accepts.  What you did has made a cherished memory for her.  Thank you for your gift of kindness.”

“On behalf of my family and me, I would like to thank you and everyone involved for the wonderful day that you were so gracious in providing.  As you can see by the pictures Kevin took, we all had a great time and a lot of fun.  My kids were so excited and asked when we can go back.  They were so happy when Brutus came up and they got to take their pictures with him and shake his hand and gave them a hug.  My son loves football and can even name some of the players by number.  You have wonderful people working there, especially Kathy, Kevin, Debbie and Bonnie, and we could not have asked for a more perfect day.  I never thought I would get to take my kids to an Ohio State game, but thanks to Crossroads I got one of my dreams fulfilled and I can’t thank you enough.  When I saw the photo album I couldn’t help but cry. It is awesome and my kids will always remember the game that I got to go to with them because of you.  You are truly a Godsend and may God bless all of you.  Once again, thank you so much.”

Families & Caregivers

“You all have meant so much to my mom over the last several months. The care and concern you gave her lifted our spirits. Knowing you were there when I could not be was a huge blessing to both of us. Your help in solving problems and finding solutions that eased her suffering was wonderful. Thank you all so much!”

“I wanted to tell you that you have some of the best people in the world working for your company. Our nurse is by far the greatest nurse in history! She answers my questions, really takes great care of my grandmother’s medical needs, and always takes the time to explain everything that is going on…and believe me I have lots of questions. Your HHA is another person who deserves a raise! She was great with my grandma and our whole family. She helped my family out in every way from advice to hugs when needed. Your staff is a wonderful asset to your company and I just wanted to let their supervisors and colleagues know as well.”

“Words of gratitude are not enough. My uncle was a warrior and hero in WWII and Korea. We wish you could have known him in his prime.  However, you met him and cared for him when he needed you most.  We are grateful for the comfort and support you provided not only for him but also for his wife and family.  You work is sometimes very tough, but we know your role is part caregiver and part angel.”

“The entire Corbin family would like to thank everyone at Crossroads who helped in the care of Earl Corbin.  From the caseworkers, bath aides, nurses and the pastor, we could not have asked for more professional and dedicated people who provided dad with love and dignity those last few months of life.  While this whole experience devastated our family, the Crossroads family became like family to us.  Those last days of dad’s life, while we were there with him, we really got to know a lot of you and you all couldn’t have been nicer and more compassionate.  There are not enough words to say what we are feeling, but thanks so much!”

“Wanted to say thank you so very much. I hired your hospice for my father, Jack Cotton. Your people did more for dad in the few days that you cared for him than the previous hospice did in the 7 days they cared for him. Thanks for all your care and support of my family.”

“Thanking you for keeping our family in your thoughts on a daily basis. Your organization and hard working staff are truly conduits of peace, harmony, and love, which has allowed our family to heal and remain healthy in our hearts, minds, bodies, and spirits. Your warm and heartfelt gestures go beyond what is expected according to state law requirements. We have been quite pleased with your constant efforts in helping our family to continue to heal and be healthy.”

“The service you extended in so many different ways was invaluable.  The peace we had with my mom in her final moments were just that….peaceful.  We will highly recommend crossroads hospice to family and friends.  Thank you for all the comfort you provided my mom as well as my whole family in her final journey.”

“I could never say enough good things about my Crossroads Hospice family. The good care you gave my sweetheart and me and my family made his passing a bit easier for us. For your prayers, letters and concern for us all, we will never forget you and you will always hold a special place in my heart. I am doing very well, but life without my sweetheart will always be different.”

“Dear Vickie:  Just wanted to say “thank you” for all your help.  You have been a huge help to “us” before Nancy died and you have been an even bigger help to me these last few months.  If ever you get tired or discouraged with all the “baloney” part of your job, just know you do make an amazing impact on people’s lives.  You are one special lady and very good at what you do.  Thanks again for being part of my journey.  I’m very glad “your light” shined in my direction.    I went and read Tear Soup.  It was GREAT, very comforting.  I bought 6 of them and am sending them to family and friends.  See – your light shines even to Dallas and St. Louis!”

“Per our conversation last week I am sending a donation in memory of my mother, Margaret “Madgi” Conti. Your chaplain, Thad Mock has been a tremendous help to my sister and I at our Alzheimer’s support group meetings for several months. Since our Mother has not attended church for several years, we thought of him because he knew us from the meetings. We wanted a celebration of her life and her beautiful spirit. Mr. Mock really accomplished this. He came to my home to visit with several members of our family to get to know my Mother. I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the wonderful job that he did for us. We had so many compliments from family and friends on how nice the service was, and how well Mr. Mock did. So thank you again, not only for the help you provided through the support group meetings, but also with her funeral service. This is a very difficult disease and it really helped to have a place to go and visit with people who could really relate to what we were going through.”

“Thanks is not enough, but it’s all I can give.  In over 35 years of bedside care, I have never witnessed such unbelievable teamwork.  Crossroads truly cares like no one else.  In the short amount of time you were there, Allan fell in love with you all.  The family was also so touched by the chaplain’s prayers.  It was a blessing to me to be part of such kindness. God bless
