Spend some Happiness Hours with us!
Join us during the week of April 13th to celebrate volunteerism and the one year anniversary of The Happiness Project. The Happiness Project matches volunteers’ hobbies and interests with patient companionship and office duties. In as little as 45 minutes a week, volunteers bring smiles to our patients and themselves! Since its inception, we've created more than 3,400 smiles a month.
Volunteering is good for everyone. Volunteers live longer, have greater functional ability and have lower rates of depression according to The Corporation for National and Community Service. Patients benefit from one-on-one time and companionship as well as the satisfaction they get from engaging in activities.
Crossroads’ Happiness Project volunteers are spreading sunshine wherever they go - sharing their creativity, patriotism, companionship, and laughter!
During Volunteer Awareness Week, we will be recognizing all of our Ultimate Givers and celebrating “The Happiness Project.” Crossroads will be holding Happiness Hours events to recognize its amazing volunteers; and connect with other community members interested in joining our volunteer program. Stop by the Crossroads Hospice office nearest you for refreshments, mingling, photos, giveaways and more. All are welcome!
