Gift of a Day: Start Your Engines
Roger Good is a huge National Hot Rod Association fan. He loves the roar of the engines and the smell of the Nitro. For his Gift of a Day, we took a very special trip to see the races.
He got to meet several drivers including Tommy Johnson, Jr., driver of the Make A Wish car.
We were able to spend time with Tommy in the Make A Wish hospitality tent and take a tour of their pit and trailer to see what all goes into a race.
Tommy even generously signed one of his car parts and gave it to Roger.
It was an amazing day for Roger, his family, and our Crossroads Team.
Gift of a Day
The Gift of a Day program is designed to give patients and their families one perfect day. For some patients, that's a special fishing trip. For others, it's soaring about their hometown in a helicopter. For Roger, it was time with the people he loved as car after car raced down the track.
