Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?” Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities.
Here at Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care, several of our locations are holding special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service activities and events. Check the list below to join one near you.
AKRON
Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care invites you to join in the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with a Day of Service. At this event, you can:
- Explore how you can become an Ultimate Giver
- Consider serving by giving of your time, talents and treasures
- Learn the healthy benefits of volunteering
- Make gifts to bring sunshine to those in their time of greatest need

CINCINNATI
Our Cincinnati team is honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. by hosting a donation drive for the Cincinnati and Fort Thomas Veteran’s Affairs Medical Centers. From January 1, 2018 through January 15, 2018, Crossroads Hospice will be collecting donations at our office in Cincinnati.
All donations will be delivered to the VA on January 15, 2018 in observation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. 100% of these donations will help provide supplemental resources needed to support programs and services for Veterans in our community. All donations will be delivered on 01/15/18, in observance of the MLK Day of Service.

MEMPHIS
Our Memphis team invites you to participate in our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service event benefiting patients with life-limiting conditions.
What better way to celebrate this day than by joining together in service to those in need? Bring a friend and join us in making a variety of crafts for patients. (Youth under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.)

Our Volunteer Managers are seeking volunteers to assist our terminally ill patients in a variety of roles including companionship visits, reading to patients, playing music, pet visits, and office support.
