    Recognizing Excellence with WOW Cards

At Crossroads, we know we’re privileged to have an incredible staff committed to doing more for patients and colleagues. That’s why we created a peer-to-peer tool to recognize team members for going above and beyond – the WOW Card! It’s more than a piece of paper; it represents genuine appreciation and recognition for a job well done.

How do I use a WOW Card?

Whenever you notice a colleague surpassing expectations, simply grab a WOW Card and pen and write down a heartfelt note of acknowledgment. Whether it's a remarkable team effort, a display of outstanding creativity, or a demonstration of unwavering dedication to patients and families, a WOW Card is a tangible way to express gratitude. WOW Cards can be submitted by any peer, supervisor, or Carrefour team member.

    Why Use WOW Cards?

    Visible Recognition:
WOW Cards put recognition on display. When someone receives a WOW Card, their outstanding efforts become known to the entire team for the positive impact they've made. We even include them in our EvenMORE For You newsletter to share these efforts company-wide.

Fostering a Culture of Appreciation: WOW Cards contribute to building a culture where appreciation and recognition are integral. When we celebrate each other's achievements, we create an environment of mutual support and encouragement.

Encouraging Positivity: WOW Cards inject positivity into the workplace. Whether you’re submitting a personal note or sending one via email, by focusing on the positive contributions of our colleagues, we create an atmosphere of optimism and camaraderie.

    Start spreading the "WOW" today!

20 years of research shows that COVID was merely an accelerant to the place we were already going. According to the Surgeon General, workplace well-being is one of the five most pressing issues in public health.

How did we get here? Where did it all go wrong?

Somewhere along the way, we got busy. We've developed clever ways of standardizing and scaling everything we could. We have highly developed tools for measuring, estimating, and protecting, but our tools for understanding Meaning and fostering Human Connection require an update. Because we don't have the right tools, we use the wrong ones—tools that standardize the one thing you can't standardize: people.

Fortunately, there is no easy fix. We all put ourselves here; why would we want an easy way through? We appreciate things when we have to work on them; but, the work we have to do is different this time. We now have to work on personal operating systems, our inner-journey. New ways of working, leading, and managing, and better ways of working together and designing more human-centered workplaces will require a change in our attitudes and mental models before we can see and manifest the external changes.

Leadership training is one way Crossroads is working to cultivate and enhance the essential skills, qualities, and strategies that enable individuals to effectively guide and inspire others toward shared goals. By providing participants with comprehensive insights into effective communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence, leadership training empowers them to navigate the complexities of modern work environments. This training not only fosters the growth of individual leaders but also contributes to the overall success and adaptability of organizations, fostering a collaborative and motivated culture that drives innovation and sustainable progress.

Why is a 401(k) important to your future?

In this issue of EvenMORE For You, we're shining a spotlight on an important aspect of your financial wellness – the 401(k) plan. Your future matters and that's why Crossroads wants you to understand how to create a secure retirement.

How can a 401(k) plan help you?

A 401(k) plan is a powerful tool that empowers you to save for retirement. Here's how it can help you reach your goals:

    1. Tax Advantages: Contributing to your 401(k) means you're not only saving for retirement, but you're doing it with tax-deferred dollars, meaning you won’t pay taxes on what you contribute until you access it in your retirement years.

    2. Employer Match: Did you know that Crossroads matches 25% of your contribution on the first 5% of your annual salary? That means your contributions will be enhanced by Crossroads’ contribution.

    3. Long-Term Growth: Your 401(k) contributions have the potential to grow over time, thanks to the magic of compounding. The sooner you start, the more your money can work for you.

    4. Financial Security: Your commitment to a 401(k) plan ensures you'll have a safety net when it's time to retire.

    5. Flexibility: While primarily designed for retirement, 401(k)s can be used as a loan toward a down payment on a home or a hardship withdrawal for unexpected financial challenges.

    How to Get Started:

    1. Enroll Today: If you haven't already enrolled in our 401(k) plan, now's the time to do it. You are eligible to participate on the 1st day of the quarter following 30 days of service.

    2. Contribution Choices: Retirement experts suggest contributing at least 10% of your salary to your 401(k), but, you should decide what’s right for you. Even a small percentage can make a difference over time. Calculators like this can help you decide.

    3. Investment Choices: Our 401(k) plan offers a range of investment options. The Goal Manager can help you select the options that best match your retirement goals and risk tolerance. You can also speak with our representative Bo
      Connor
      at Merrill Lynch for assistance.
      Phone: 918-586-8047 or Email: robert_connor@ml.com

    4. Review Annually: As life changes, so might your retirement goals. It is recommended to regularly review and adjust your contributions and investments accordingly.
