    How Are You Feeling Today?

Since launching EvenMore For You a few months ago, we’ve received several comments about the need for mental health support.

You are not alone. A recent study of health care workers found that 93% reported stress, 86% reported anxiety, 77% reported frustration, 76% reported exhaustion and burnout, and 75% said they were overwhelmed. Yet just 13% of those workers say they received behavioral health services. That’s why we’re highlighting the free mental health benefit available to all Crossroads associates and their families.

What Is the Key to Professional Growth?

Improvement is a process that can feel slow at first. The time it takes to improve depends on how many people want to improve. Companies get better when their people do.

We all love Crossroads’ mission of unequaled end-of-life care. That’s why it’s not easy to think of what we do as a business.

Improvement is a process that can feel slow at first. The time it takes to improve depends on how many people want to improve. Companies get better when their people do.

We all love Crossroads’ mission of unequaled end-of-life care. That’s why it’s not easy to think of what we do as a business.

Balancing the two forces of delivering outstanding care and making money is a challenge facing most modern-day healthcare organizations in America. The tuning of this tension is what makes a company great.

This has been my life’s work. Let me shine a little light on how the process works. When people find out that I design leadership programs and coach executives, the most common question people have is, "Who are the worst kind of leaders?" Leaders who think they know everything? Toxic leaders who belittle others? Authoritarian Leaders? Micromanagers?

It's none of these. These labels are merely strings we all have that can be out of tune. The “bad” leadership qualities described above are responses to things we haven't yet identified within ourselves.

We all have daily situations that inspire negative behaviors. So, the answer to the worst leaders’ question is, the worst leaders are those who do not self-reflect.

Leadership is only part of the equation. Organizations can improve and gain momentum quickly when everyone, both leaders and employees, participates and sees the fruits of their actions.

This is the goal for Crossroads. Admittedly, we have a lot of work to do and the journey has just begun. Stay tuned; we will be reaching out with more opportunities shortly. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about Crossroads’ potential or more impressed with what we’ve accomplished so far.

"If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in bed with a mosquito." ―Betty Reese
