K-9 teams help make dream come true for Leavenworth hospice patient

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. -- Larry Walker loves dogs.
He said he still remembers the German Shepherd he had as a kid.
So on Tuesday, the folks at Leavenworth's Crossroads Hospice Care called in the canines.
K-9 units from local police squads showed off their stuff. Walker smiled as he watched the dogs go though exercises.
