A lifelong wish comes true for a 95-year-old lover of horses

 - A Holden, Missouri woman says she is happier than ever after her life-long wish has come true.

Crossroads Hospice Gift of a Day program is all about a patients special day. "The Gift of a Day program has spanned across 11 cities over the past 10 years," said Greg Werner, Vice President of Business Development.  "We try and offer this program to all of our patients.  The service is provided at no cost and is arranged by our staff and volunteers."

"If you could have one best day, as a capstone to your life, what would it be?"  Marion responded, "I'm a horse person." 

95-year-old Marion Roberts deeply loves horses. At the age of 7, she received her first pony, later becoming a trick rider during the rodeo in her teenage years.

Marion requested a trip to Warm Springs Ranch to rub noes with the precious animals she's loved and admired all her life.

As the home to the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, Warm Springs Ranch is home to over 70 Clydesdales from foals to adult stallions. While not open officially until April, but last week, the ranch graciously accommodated Marion's wish to come true.

Marion was asked her favorite thing about horses, said replied "Their trust. They trust you wholeheartedly, and you never want to break that trust."
