DAYTON -- Thousands of people came together to help Lauren Hill's wish of one last game come true.

Now, the Widows Home of Dayton is helping a local man with a terminal illness take one last ride!

Lonnie Roach spent more than 20 years of his life driving a chemical tank truck. His work took him around the country... giving him a deep love for the open road.

Today, he got to climb into an 18-wheeler and feel that thrill once again.

"Being in a truck, you've got all the freedom in the world... You're not at home, you are at home in your truck. Believe me, if you've never drove one, you don't know what you're missing," said Roach.

Lonnie's ride was made possible thanks to the Crossroads Hospice Gift of a Day program; It brings to life a patient's dream of the perfect day.
