At the end of last year leaders across Crossroads' six locations identified a group of team members to ask, “What do you hope for professionally in the new year?” Here is how Chaplain Hwang answered the question
A provider relations representative tells “the story from start to finish” of the end-of-life care journey while “educating (patients and families) on how every discipline has a special role in hospice, ensuring that families understand the true role of hospice.”
That’s how NEO Provider Relations Representative Larry Hendrickson describes the Provider Relations position.
They live in different cities on opposite sides of Ohio and their professional backgrounds have little in common.
But one experience Kelly Fogel and Brandy White have in common is that they left their professional roles at Crossroads for a period of time but were then rehired.
Kenna Peterson, MSW, LSW began her career and spent many years working with children and families both in the state of Ohio social service system and for a private children’s services and foster care agency. She even worked briefly in a hospital emergency room.
Now she channels all of that experience on behalf of Crossroads in Northeast Ohio, which she joined nearly five years ago.
Hospice Aides physically care for patients. They are also a key liaison between families and Crossroads’ integrated care teams including nurses, social workers, physicians, volunteer managers, chaplains and bereavement coordinators.
At our Memphis location there are many hospice aides who have served Crossroads’ patients and their families for a very long time. We thank them and we acknowledge their many contributions.
