Hospice careprovides all necessary medication and equipment. It also provides assistance with light housekeeping, errands, companionship and respite care to help caregivers recharge.

A Veteran’s Story Told For The First Time

Honor Our Veterans

Throughout history, thousands of men and women have proudly served our country, leaving family and friends behind to defend our great nation and its ideals. Recognizing their bravery, Crossroads Hospice has developed the“Honor Our Veterans” Recognition Campaign. The program acknowledges our veteran patients and veterans in the community. This November, the staff of Crossroads Hospice recognize local heroes in patriotic pinning ceremonies complete with certificates of appreciation and medals of honor. They will be joined by compassionate volunteers, ROTC cadets, members of our armed forces and their loved ones.

7 tips for living with COPD

Lung conditions, like COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), touch all aspects of daily life, such as eating, bathing, housework, and socializing. Not being able to breath is very frightening, for the patient and for those present in the room. Frequently patients end up in the emergency room because of breathing problems. Daily monitoring goes a long way toward preventing such crises. But it requires effort on the part of the patient, and usually on the part of family members as well.

What is Evenmore Care?

As an employee with Crossroads Hospice for 17 years, I have seen changes in the hospice industry. I have also seen amazing changes in Crossroads as well. As a registered nurse, my primary focus is clinical. With this said, I can honestly say that one of my favorite programs offered by Crossroads Hospice is our Evenmore Care program. Years ago, we realized there was a gap in the levels of care offered by hospice, and we wanted to bridge this gap. So, we implemented a unique program not “funded” by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. Evenmore Care is offered to every patient and family member to ensure that ALL needs are met – regardless of how long it takes or that there isn’t a “financial” incentive to these services.
